Karen Campbell referred you.
My wife passed away Saturday and I am in terrible shape.
Have you found a support group near you? If you will reply to me at louanntarnow@comcast.net, I will try to help you.
Does the Covington group still meet? I went there several years ago when my husband died. Still stuck in grief. If you still meet, I am wondering if anyone else that has been widowed a long time goes.
If you got to this website, you will see the places that still meet. Covington IS one of these places. Please join them at St John the Baptist Church on Tuesdays at 7:00 PM.
Are there any daytime support groups?
Stephanie, There are two daytime groups at this time. Renton has a meeting at 12:30PM on Wednesdays. It is at the Renton Senior Center at 211 Burnett North. You may contact burnie@comcast.net or (425) 255-1888. Auburn has a meeting at 3:30PM on Mondays. It is at The River Clubhouse at 3611 I Street NE in Auburn. You may contact Liz at eas1823@comcast.net or (425) 269-7583, or Lois at loistiernan@comcast.net or (253) 987-7927. I hope you can find some help.
I lost my wife of 49 years August 7th, and I feel pretty lost at times, without my best friend.
I will attend the Covington meeting Tuesday the 10th.
I’ve never tried any kind of support group, but this is pretty tough.
WICS really helped me. I hope you continue to attend. It is difficult at first, but well worth the effort…LouAnn Tarnow
